Dr. Wang completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science from the Capital Medical University (China) in 2005, completed her Master Degree in Sport Psychology from the Capital Institute of Physical Education (China) in 2008, and completed her Ph.D. in Kinesiology at the Pennsylvania State University in 2013. Her current research interest focuses on identifying neurobiological and neurophysiological mechanisms underlie sensorimotor issues in children with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Phelan McDermid Syndrome, and Fragile X) as well as adult individuals who are at the highest risk in developing atypical neurodegeneration (e.g., Fragile X associated tremor and ataxia syndrome). The long-term goal of her research is to identify novel biobehavioral markers to facilitate early diagnosis, predict disease risk and monitor disease progression.
